The topic of EU integration of Ukraine’s dairy sector is gaining increasing attention in the media. At the same time, dairy farms and processing companies, focused on their core activities—production and processing—often face fragmented and sometimes contradictory information.
To provide dairy producers and processors with clear recommendations and a practical action plan for preparing to operate within a shared EU–Ukraine business environment, the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine (SMPU), together with the analytical agency Infagro, is convening an industry conference titled “The Dairy Sector: Ukraine – EU.” The event will take place on June 3 in Kyiv.
The SMPU EU Integration Committee, established to streamline and coordinate Ukraine’s dairy industry’s EU integration efforts, has been working closely with European counterparts for over a year. Its goal is to define the concrete steps Ukrainian dairy enterprises need to take to integrate into the European market successfully.
Experts from the SMPU EU Integration Committee— whose mandate is EU integration of the dairy sector—are shaping the conference agenda and selecting invited speakers. These experts are expected to provide practical insights and guidance tailored to businesses operating in the dairy industry.
SMPU and Infagro invite interested professionals from across the sector to participate in the conference “The Dairy Sector: Ukraine – EU.”
The event is supported by Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian program “Trade Development with Higher Value Added in the Organic and Dairy Sectors of Ukraine.” The program is implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland).
