On February 26, a coordination meeting was held with representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

The meeting brought together officials from the Ministry, representatives of the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine (SMPU) and the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine (AVM), and experts from the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP).

The Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine was represented by Vadym Chagarovskyi (Chairman), Arsen Didur (Executive Director), Elizabeth Sviatkivska (EU Integration Committee Coordinator), and Maks Fasteyev (Advisor to the EU Integration Committee).

During the meeting, participants discussed in detail the consultative draft of the Roadmap for the EU integration of Ukraine’s dairy sector. The document outlines the transition from the current state of the sector to its Vision 2030 and covers 11 thematic development areas.

Participants emphasised the importance of the dairy community’s active involvement in the survey regarding the overall structure and logic of the Roadmap, the prioritisation of proposed actions, the sequencing of implementation, and specific elements of the document.

Operators of the dairy market were encouraged to carefully review the consultative draft of the Roadmap and take part in the survey. The consultation period is open from February 16 to March 10.

The Roadmap is being developed by the Committee in partnership with the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine (AVM), with the support of Switzerland within the framework of the Swiss-Ukrainian Programme “Higher Value Added Trade from the Organic and Dairy Sector in Ukraine” (QFTP) funded by Switzerland and implemented by the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) in partnership with SAFOSO AG (Switzerland), and with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine.
