The last but not the least post of UA dairy delegation journey through the #Dutch dairy sector — meeting #farmers whose stories show how diverse, innovative, and future-focused Dutch dairy truly is.

Wantenaar Dairy Farm:
Coen Wantenaar’s 150-cow farm is fully committed to On the Way to PlanetProof. More sustainability work, more data — but also more value. For Coen, sustainability isn’t a trend, it’s a business strategy.
D’ e Staelenhoef:
A family farm since 1722. With 65 cows and on-farm cheese production, their shop sells true craftsmanship rooted in three centuries of tradition.
ElkeMelk:
CEO Matthijs Baan challenges every rule in dairy: milk from each cow is bottled separately, within 10 minutes after milking. Every bottle is unique — and major retailers now sell not just the milk, but the story behind it.
Camel Dairy Farm:
What started as three camels has become a herd of 100+. Frank and Dorieke Goodijk-Smits established a completely new dairy niche in the Netherlands, driven by research and a passion for doing things differently.
Schouten Dairy Farm:
The fifth generation of the family, Remco and Gertie, combine robotic milking with strong community engagement through their popular farm shop, blending tradition with modern dairy technology.
These visits highlighted the core strengths of Dutch dairy: innovation, sustainability, heritage, and creative value-adding.
A special thank you to the supporters and organisers of the study tour for the excellent program, inspiring meetings, and open dialogue.
We truly appreciate the opportunity — and look forward to continuing this cooperation and exchange of experience in the future.
