In practice, this means a simpler and clearer system for everyone working in the livestock sector. A single register will contain information on employees’ certificates and authorisations, documents for vehicles used to transport animals, transport permits, and other required data.
Importantly, this is not simply about creating another register. It is a step toward digitalisation and more transparent rules. The state will be able to quickly verify whether a person has the necessary knowledge and authorisation to work with animals, while businesses will have a clear, consistent set of requirements.
As a result, we expect to raise animal welfare standards during the keeping, transport, and slaughter of animals. At the same time, this will bring Ukraine’s rules in this area even closer to European standards.
