The Board of Directors of the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine elected Oleksandr Avramuk, CEO of SE Lactalis Ukraine, as the Chairman of the EU Union of Dairy Enterprises Committee on European Integration of the Dairy Sector.

Oleksandr Avramuk outlined the key tasks of the Committee for 2026–2027. Among the priorities:

▪️ synchronization of the sectoral Roadmap with the National Implementation Plan for EU requirements and assessment of risks for business
▪️ broad presentation of the Roadmap and explanation of new rules through webinars and practical formats
▪️strengthening the representation of business interests in the dialogue with the state and international partners
▪️conducting a consultative audit of the milk processing sector for a realistic assessment of the industry’s readiness for European integration
▪️preparation for new conditions for trade with the EU after 2028, taking into account future regulatory changes

The Committee will operate as an open professional platform, involving associations, experts and international initiatives for the joint development of the industry.

In his speech to the Board of Directors of the SMPU, the new Chairman of the Committee paid special attention to the role of “Lactalis Ukraine”, which, thanks to its international experience, can strengthen the work of the Committee, promote the development of dialogue with European partners and improve the position of the Ukrainian dairy industry in foreign markets.

“There is a lot of difficult work ahead. But systematic and joint activities will allow not only to adapt to EU requirements, but also to use this stage to really strengthen the entire industry,” said Oleksandr Avramuk.
